New England Revolution forward Saer Sene will miss the rest of the season after suffering a torn ACL in Wednesday's match against Chivas USA, the club announced on Saturday.

Sene will undergo reconstructive surgery to repair the problem, which brings to an end his promising first season in MLS.

The Frenchman signed with New England in February 2012 from Bayern Munich's reserve team, and he leads the Revs in goals with 11, while also chipping in three assists in 25 appearances.
