Nets' Pierce leaves with sore shoulder

Brooklyn, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Brooklyn Nets forward Paul Pierce left Sunday's game against Sacramento 73 seconds into the first quarter with what the team said was a sore right shoulder.

Pierce was guarding Jason Thompson down low when the Kings big man made a spin move toward the basket and made contact with Pierce's shoulder.

Pierce made his only shot, a layup to open the scoring.
