Landon Clement scored 24 points to lead North Carolina Central past Maryland-Eastern Shore 67-61 on Monday.

C.J. Wilkerson added 17 points and Nick Chasten had 13 for the Eagles (6-8). They shot 43 percent on 23 of 53 shooting to end a two-game losing streak.

Hillary Haley scored 15 points, hitting 10 of 13 free throws to offset a 2 of 10 shooting performance, and Dishawn Bradshaw added 10 points for Maryland-Eastern Shore (3-12). The Hawks have lost four straight and are 2-9 in their last 11 games.

Tyler Hines, who is making a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference-best 61 percent of his shots, was held to eight points on 4 of 7 shooting for the Hawks.

N.C. Central had 21 turnovers while Maryland-Eastern Shore turned it over 20 times.

The game was moved up 2½ hours to mid-afternoon because a winter storm warning was issued for central North Carolina.
