Naples, Italy (SportsNetwork.com) - Napoli kept pace with league-leading Roma by cruising past Livorno in a 4-0 win at the Stadio San Paolo on Sunday.
Four different players got on the scoresheet for Napoli as the home side bagged two goals in both halves to clinch the win and improve to 19 points on the season, two points off of Roma's pace at the top of the Serie A table.
Napoli needed just three minutes to open the scoring as Goran Pandev got the Blues off the mark early on, while Gokham Inler doubled the advantage in the 26th minute.
The second half was more of the same for Napoli as Jose Callejon made it three in the 54th minute while Marek Hamsik wrapped up the affair with the dagger seven minutes from time.
Livorno is winless in its last four Serie A outings, leaving the club on eight points for the season.
Juventus 3, AC Milan 2
Turin, Italy - Juventus scored twice in the span of six second-half minutes to clinch a 3-2 victory over AC Milan at Juventus Stadium on Sunday.
Sulley Muntari's opener in the first minute was canceled out by Andrea Pirlo in the 15th minute, but Sebastian Giovinco notched the go-ahead goal for Juventus in the 69th minute.
Philippe Mexes was sent off for Milan in the 74th minute and the Old Lady took advantage of the extra man as Giorgio Chiellini gave the home side a two-goal cushion a minute later.
It proved to be a pivotal strike as Muntari pulled one back in the dying stages, but it was merely a consolation goal for Milan, which remains in 12th place in the top flight on eight points.
Juventus goes level with Napoli for second place on 19 points apiece.
Lazio 0, Fiorentina 0
Rome, Italy - There was little between Lazio and Fiorentina at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday as the two sides played to a 0-0 draw.
The result does not do either side any massive favors as Lazio remains in seventh place in the table on 11 points.
Fiorentina, one spot better than Lazio, improves to 12 points.
Udinese 2, Cagliari 0
Udine, Italy - Udinese scored on both sides of halftime to get 2-0 win over Cagliari at the Stadio Friuli on Sunday.
The home side never looked back after Danilo opened the scoring in the 33rd minute, but Antonio Di Natale added an insurance goal in the 53rd minute to seal the victory.
Udinese climbs to 10 points on the season, bringing the club three points clear of Cagliari.
Sampdoria 2, Torino 2
Genoa, Italy - Citadin Eder converted a late penalty to help Sampdoria salvage a point in a 2-2 draw with Torino at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris on Sunday.
Gianluca Sansone gave the home side the lead heading into halftime, but Torino answered through Ciro Immobile in the 66th minute. The visitors thought they had done enough to claim all three points when Alessio Cerci turned in a 76th- minute penalty, but Eder converted from the spot in the third minute of stoppage time to see Sampdoria get its third point of the season.
Torino is winless in its last three, leaving the club on nine points through seven games.
Hellas Verona 4, Bologna 1
Verona, Italy - Hellas Verona secured its second straight Serie A win on Sunday, defeating Bologna in convincing fashion with a 4-1 victory at the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara.
First-half goals from Fabrizio Cacciatore and Juan Manuel Iturbe put Verona in good stead for the second period, but a 52nd-minute penalty from Bologna's Alessandro Diamanti tested the visitors.
Verona was up to the challenge as Luca Toni restored the club's two-goal margin four minutes later while Jorginho Frello added a late insurance goal in stoppage time.
The win sees Hellas Verona improve to 13 points in its first season back in the Italian top flight while Bologna, still searching for its first win, remains on three points to sit second from bottom.
Parma 3, Sassuolo 1
Parma, Italy - Parma extended its unbeaten run in Serie A to four games by earning a 3-1 win over Sassuolo at the Stadio Ennio Tardini on Sunday.
Raffaele Palladino's opening goal was canceled after Antonio Mirante was handed his marching orders, which allowed Sassuolo to level the score through Domenico Berardi's penalty in first-half stoppage time.
But the second half belonged to Parma despite playing down a man as goals from Aleandro Rosi and Antonio Cassano gave the club a two-goal edge. Francesco Magnanelli was sent off two minutes from time to leave the visitors with no chance of a comeback.
Parma climbs to nine points on the season while Sassuolo, on one point, remains in search of its first win.
Catania 1, Genoa 1
Catania, Italy - Genoa escaped the Stadio Angelo Massimino with a point on Sunday as a late own goal conceded by Catania saw the clubs finish level at 1-1.
Catania thought that a 59th-minute strike from Pablo Barrientos would hold up as the winner, but Nicola Legrottaglie's own goal three minutes from time saw the two sides remain level in the Serie A table on five points.
