Napoli kept its title hopes alive by earning a comfortable 3-0 victory over last-place Pescara at the Stadio Adriatico on Saturday.

After a scoreless opening period, the visitors the breakthrough less than a minute into the second half as Gokhan Inler opened the scoring.

Goran Pandev helped Napoli double its advantage in the 58th minute while Blerim Dzemaili wrapped up the affair with his strike nine minutes from time.

The result sees Napoli improve to 69 points on the year to move to within eight points of first-place Juventus. The Old Lady can restore its 11-point lead with a victory over Torino in the Turin derby on Sunday.

Pescara remains at the foot of the Serie A table with just 22 points from the campaign.

Atalanta 1, Bologna 1

Bergamo, Italy - Atalanta and Bologna scored nine minutes apart to split the points in a 1-1 draw at the Stadio Atleti Azzurri d'Italia on Saturday.

Luigi Giorgi had given Atalanta the lead in the 67th minute, but it was canceled out shortly after by Alberto Gilardino.

The draw sees the two sides remain separated by a single point in the Serie A table as Bologna improves to 40 points and Atalanta climbs to 39 points.

Udinese 1, Cagliari 0

Cagliari, Italy - Roberto Maximiliano Pereyra scored the lone goal at the Stadio Sant'Elia on Saturday as Udinese ran out to a 1-0 victory over Cagliari.

Pereyra's 56th-minute strike proved to be enough to hand visiting Udinese all three points, but Mauricio Ferreira Pinilla's red card in the fourth minute of stoppage time effectively left Cagliari with no chance of claiming an equalizer.

Udinese moves to fifth place in Italy's top flight with 54 points, moving one point ahead of Inter Milan, which takes on Palermo on Sunday. Cagliari remains midtable on 42 points.
