Former NBA head coach Eric Musselman has Fenders, the NBA Development League team owned by the Los Angeles Lakers.

Musselman was the head coach of the Golden State Warriors and Sacramento Kings, but most-recently served as head coach of the D-League's Reno Bighorns. He guided the squad to a record of 34-16 last season.

"I'm excited to be joining a first class organization like the D-Fenders," said Musselman in a statement on Thursday. "Our staff will work hard to develop young players for the next level while at the same time being an extremely competitive team."

Musselman spent two years as head coach of the Warriors, posting a record of 75-89 from 2002-03 through '03-04. He guided Sacramento to a mark of 33-49 during the 2006-07 season.

In addition to his head coaching stints, Musselman has also been an assistant on the NBA level with Orlando, Atlanta and Memphis. He's also been a head coach in the CBA and USBL.
