Motherwell, Scotland (SportsNetwork.com) - Motherwell scored two late goals at Fir Park on Saturday to edge Partick Thistle in a 4-3 thriller.

The two sides were level by halftime after Chris Erskene and Keith Lasley exchanged goals in the final eight minutes of the opening period.

Lionel Ainsworth handed Motherwell the lead seven minutes into the second half, but two goals from Kallum Higginbotham, which came six minutes apart, put the visitors back in front.

Partick Thistle held the lead until the dying stages of the match when John Sutton's 85th-minute strike got the home side back on level terms.

Motherwell, holding all the momentum, went on to get the winner three minutes later thanks to Stephen McManus.

With Aberdeen getting a 1-0 victory at St. Mirren thanks to Adam Rooney's late penalty, Motherwell stays one point back of the Dons as the two sides improve to 47 and 48 points, respectively.

Hibernian scored twice inside the opening 24 minutes at Easter Road on Saturday to get a 2-1 win over Ross County, and Dundee United collected all three points in a back-and-forth contest with Kilmarnock at Tannadice Park that saw the home side earn a 3-2 victory.

Also on Saturday, Hearts saw its unbeaten run go to four games thanks to a hard-fought 0-0 draw at Inverness.
