Masatsugu Morofuji shot a two-under 69 on shortened Fujisankei Classic in only 36 holes.

Morofuji finished at six-under 136, three shots better than his nearest competitor at Fujizakura Country Club. Typhoon Talas brought considerable rain and wind to the course, so much so that the first round was not completed until Saturday afternoon.

It is Morofuji's first victory on tour.

He had five birdies and three bogeys on Sunday to win going away. Mardan Mamat shot a six-under 65, but finished only three-under for the tournament to take second.

Kiradech Aphibarnrat (69) and Koumei Oda (69) shared third at two-under 140.

Ryo Ishikawa (70) and Shunsuke Sonoda (66) tied for fifth at minus-one.
