Coastal Carolina introduced Joe Moglia as its new head football coach on Tuesday.

Moglia, 61, spent last season as the head coach of the United Football League's Omaha Nighthawks, posting a 1-4 record.

Well known in the financial sector, Moglia is the current chairman and former CEO of TD Ameritrade, one of the largest online brokerage firms in the world.

Moglia's early football experience included stops at Lafayette and Dartmouth before he entered the financial sector following the 1983 season.

In 2008, Moglia stepped down as CEO to pursue coaching, volunteering as an assistant at the University of Nebraska. He was named the head coach of the Nighthawks prior to the 2011 season.

Moglia will be the second coach in Coastal Carolina history. David Bennett was fired after a 7-4 finish this season and a 63-39 overall mark in nine seasons.
