Tokyo, Japan (SportsNetwork.com) - Katsumasa Miyamoto fired a final-round, 5- under 65 on Sunday and that was good enough to give him a 1-shot victory at the Golf Nippon Series JT Cup.

Miyamoto, who now has 10 victories on the Japan Golf Tour, finished the week at 9-under-par 271 at Tokyo Yomiuri Country Club.

It was a strong start for Miyamoto as he began with a birdie at the first. Two holes later, Miyamoto poured in his second gain of the day on the par-4 third, getting him to 2-under. After a pair of pars on four and five, Miyamoto drained his third birdie on the par-5 sixth.

Miyamoto made the turn with four straight pars from seven before he dropped his first and only shot of the day with a bogey on No. 11. Still, Miyamoto remained strong down the stretch. Back-to-back birdies on 13 and 14 had Miyamoto back in business and he later drained a gain on No. 17, which proved to be the deciding stroke. Miyamoto closed with a par to claim the title.

Prayad Marksaeng was right behind Miyamoto at 8-under 272 following a 3-under 67 Sunday. Koumei Oda (66), Michio Matsumura (66), Toshinori Muto (70) and Sang-Hee Lee (71) all ended tied for third at 6-under 274.
