Altanta, GA – The New York Mets signed pitcher Tim Byrday year contract on Sunday.

Byrday, 37, has pitched in 69 games this season and is 2-0 with a 2.89 earned run average.

He has pitched for Kansas City, Baltimore, Detroit, Houston and the Mets over 10 years in the NFL and is 11-10 with a 4.18 ERA in 411 games, all in relief.
