Niall McGinn helped Aberdeen overcome a second-half sending off to split the points with Dundee in a 1-1 draw at Dens Park on Sunday.

Jim McAlister had given Dundee the lead with a goal in the 20th minute, and things went from bad to worse for the visitors when Rory Fallon was sent off in the 62nd minute.

But Aberdeen managed to earn a share of the spoils when McGinn converted a penalty kick eight minutes after his side was reduced to 10 men.

The win sees Aberdeen improve to 46 points on the season while Dundee remains at the foot of the Scottish Premier League table with 30 points.

Celtic continued its victory lap with a 1-1 draw at Ross County on Sunday. The Hoops, who already have been crowned champions, took the lead in the fourth minute through Anthony Stokes, but Iain Vigurs managed to get Ross County on level terms four minutes before halftime.

Sunday's final Premier League encounter between Kilmarnock and Hibernian was abandoned after a fan collapsed from the stands at Rugby Park.
