Reims, France (SportsNetwork.com) - Lyon moved back to the top of the Ligue 1 table on Sunday with a comfortable 4-2 victory over Reims at the Stade Auguste Delaune II.

After earning a point at home with a 2-2 draw against Saint Etienne last time out, Lyon was hoping to return to the top of the table and the club got off to a quick start as Corentin Tolisso found the back of the net after just two minutes.

It was 2-0 for the visitors just four minutes later as Alexandre Lacazette bagged his league-leading 27th goal of the season. Reims managed to pull one back in the 13th minute through Alexi Peuget to make it 2-1.

But Lyon continued to send numbers forward in search of goals and it was 3-1 for Lyon in the 20th minute when Clinton Njie found the back of the net.

The visitors then added a fourth goal in stoppage time through an own goal from Mickael Tacalfred and Reims pulled a second goal back in added time through Gaetan Charbonnier, but it wasn't enough as Lyon held on for the points.

Also in Ligue 1 on Sunday, Monaco extended it unbeaten streak across all competitions to three matches with a comfortable 3-0 rout of bottom-of-the- table Lens.

Yannick Ferreira-Carrasco opened the scoring in the 36th minute and Anthony Martial made it 2-0 just prior to the halftime interval. Bernardo Silva added a third goal to claim all three points in style for the principality club.

Sunday's final fixture saw Max-Alain Grdael netted his 12th goal of the season to lift Saint Etienne to a 1-0 result over Montpellier at the Stade Geoffroy- Guichard.
