Liverpool signed teenage German striker Samed Yesil from Bayer Leverkusen on Thursday.

Yesil, 18, scored 22 goals in 26 appearances for Germany at the Under-16, U-17 and U-18 levels. He had yet to break into the senior team for Germany or Bayer Leverkusen.

"I am really happy about this, it is my dream to play for Liverpool and I will give my all," Yesil said.

Yesil joins Liverpool on the same day the Reds loaned striker Andy Carroll out to English rival West Ham for the rest of the season.
