The Detroit Lions used their final selection in the NFL draft to take Brandon Hepburn on Saturday.

The 6-2, 240-pound Florida A&M linebacker is the ninth player the Lions picked in this draft. He went with the 39th selection of the seventh round, 245th overall.

The Lions took Alabama tight end Michael Williams with the fifth pick of the seventh round.

Hepburn was the last of six picks on the last day of the draft for Detroit, which also selection South Carolina defensive end Devin Taylor, Appalachian State punter Sam Martin, Virginia Tech receiver Corey Fuller and Notre Dame running back Theo Riddick.
