Allen Park, MI – The Detroit Lions have signed punter Robert Malone and placed tackle Jason Fox on injured reserve.
Lions punter Ryan Donahue was limited in practice on Wednesday and Thursday because of a quadriceps issue. Donahue's status for Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears could be in doubt.
Malone appeared in 12 games for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2010, averaging just 36.5 yards a punt.
Fox has not played this season due to a foot injury.
