Carbondale, IL (SportsNetwork.com) - Liberty will visit Southern Illinois for an FCS intersectional matchup on Sept. 26, finalizing the 2015 schedule for both teams on Monday.
The matchup will be the first between Liberty, a defending co-champion in the Big South Conference, and Southern Illinois, from the Missouri Valley Football Conference.
Both teams will play 11 games this season. Last year, Liberty was 9-5 with a No. 17 final national ranking and SIU was 6-6.
The two-year agreement comes with a return game at Liberty in 2019.
