Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Philadelphia Flyers activated veteran forward Vincent Lacavalier from injured reserve prior to Thursday's game with the New York Rangers.

Lecavalier had missed the Flyers' last three contests due to a lower-body injury he sustained against Phoenix on Oct. 11.

The 33-year-old offseason acquisition, who has been a centerman for the majority of his 15-year NHL career, is expected to play right wing alongside Claude Giroux and rookie Michael Raffl on Philadelphia's top line during Thursday's tilt.

Signed by the Flyers in July after having his contract bought out by the Tampa Bay Lightning following a successful 14-year tenure, Lecavalier has recorded one goal and two assists through his first five games with his new team.
