DELAND, Fla. – Langston Hall had 16 points, five rebounds and four assists and Mercer defeated Stetson 73-52 for a season sweep on Sunday.
Mercer (22-7, 13-3 Atlantic Sun) trailed 27-26 before scoring nine straight over the final 4 minutes of the first half to lead 35-27 at the break. The Bears then pressed forward to open the second, extending their lead to 52-29 and capping a 26-2 run overall with 12:29 left in the game.
Stetson (7-21, 5-11) never got closer than 61-42 and the Bears took their largest lead at 73-47 with just 2:20 left in the game.
Anthony White Jr. had 12 points and Ike Nwamu 11 for Mercer which shot 58 percent (29 of 50) from the field.
Willie Green had 16 points and Kentwan Smith added 11 for the Hatters on their senior day.
