The Los Angeles Lakers hired former NBA head coaches Eddie Jordan and Bernie Bickerstaff as assistants to Mike Brown.

The team also announced Steve Clifford will join the coaching staff.

Jordan, who played for the Lakers and was a member of their 1982 title team, was last on the bench as head coach of the Philadelphia 76ers during the 2009-10 season. He also had stints in Sacramento and Washington and accumulated a 257-343 record during his head coaching tenure.

Bickerstaff began his coaching career in 1973 with the Washington Bullets, and was a head coach in Seattle, Denver, Washington and Charlotte. He spent the last two seasons as an assistant for the Portland Trail Blazers.

Clifford has been an assistant coach with the Magic (2007-12), Rockets (2003-07) and Knicks (2000-03).
