Sacramento, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Sacramento Kings forward Carl Landry underwent surgery on Tuesday to repair a torn ligament in his right wrist, the team said.

The surgery was performed in New York and is expected to keep Landry sidelined for 4-for-5 months, potentially into the start of next season.

Landry averaged 7.2 points and 3.8 rebounds in 70 games this past season. He missed five games in January because of soreness in the wrist, but surgery was only deemed necessary after the pain persisted in the offseason and an MRI was performed this week.

He missed almost three months at the start of the 2013-14 season after having hip surgery.
