With the final shot for Los Angeles, Brown buried a heavy wrister to the glove side of Jonas Hiller. Kyle Palmieri's wrister was then stopped by Jonathan Quick for the win.

Sutter was officially named head coach of the Kings on Tuesday. John Stevens coached the Kings on an interim basis for the last four games (2-2-0).

Mike Richards and Brown each had a goal for the Kings, who have won two straight. Quick turned aside 20 shots in the win.

Nikklas Hagman and Lubomir Visnovsky each had a goal and an assist for the Ducks, who have dropped their past four games. Hiller made 32 stops.
