Chicago, IL (SportsNetwork.com) - Patrick Kane posted a goal and two assists in the Chicago Blackhawks' 6-2 win over the Dallas Stars on Sunday.

Kane scored 4:49 into the third period to break a 2-2 tie, and Chicago tallied three more times in the third to pull away. Jonathan Toews, Kris Versteeg and Brandon Saad also scored in the final period.

Corey Crawford turned aside 22 shots as Chicago won for the third time in its last four.

"It seemed like we had a lot of control of the play, put a lot of shots on net," Kane said.

Shawn Horcoff and Curtis McKenzie scored for the Stars, who have dropped two straight on the heels of back-to-back wins. Kari Lehtonen surrendered all six goals on 47 shots.

"We can't get any lower that that," Stars coach Lindy Ruff said.

Early in the third, Versteeg won the puck behind the net and fed Brad Richards in front. Richards swung the puck to Kane, who fired a wrister past Lehtonen for the eventual winner.

Toews added to the lead at the 12:34 mark after stealing the puck in Dallas territory. Toews dropped it off to Marian Hossa, whose shot was turned aside by Lehtonen, but Toews was there to secure the rebound and bang home a wrap- around.

Versteeg and Saad scored 70 seconds apart to seal the outcome.

Earlier, Chicago took a 1-0 lead just over a minute in on Duncan Keith's fourth goal of the season. Dallas countered with two quick ones.

McKenzie redirected an Erik Cole feed at 4:49 of the first, and Horcoff scored on a rebound 39 seconds later.

Brent Seabrook scored on a slapper midway through the first. The game's lone power-play goal made it 2-2 after one, and neither team found the back of the net in the second period.
