Kaka, Marcelo to miss out for Brazil

Sao Paulo, Brazil – Real Madrid duo Kaka and Marcelo will miss out on Brazil's upcoming friendlies with Gabon and Egypt through injury.

Both players are battling muscle injuries that forced them to miss Real's 7-1 thrashing of Osasuna on Sunday, and they will not be fit enough to take part in the matches, which take place Thursday and Monday.

Brazil's football federation also confirmed on Monday that Bayern Munich midfielder Luiz Gustavo would miss the game against Gabon in Libreville because he does not have proof of the vaccination required to enter the country.

However, the 24-year-old will join up with the team for Monday's match against Egypt.
