Michal Kadlec handed Bayer Leverkusen 0 Leverkusen win over Werder Bremen at the BayArena.

The hosts were the better side over the majority of the match, but it took until the final minutes before they capitalized on a chance as a corner kick was knocked around inside the penalty area before the ball was played into the path of Kadlec by substitute Simon Rolfes.

Kadlec then volleyed it off the post and into the net from six yards, allowing new manager Robin Dutt to claim his first win of the season.

Kadlec nearly put Leverkusen in front in the 76th minute when his free kick forced a good diving stop from goalkeeper Tim Wiese.

Eren Derdiyok had a great chance to double the lead for the hosts in stoppage time, but his shot was saved by Wiese in a one-on-one situation.
