The comparisons were inevitable from the moment that Tyler Lockett signed his national letter of intent a couple of years ago to play wide receiver at Kansas State.

It comes with being the son of former Wildcats wide receiver Kevin Lockett and the nephew of Aaron Lockett, one of the best kick and punt returners in school history.

Tyler Lockett already has made a name for himself, though.

He's coming off an All-Big 12 season as voted on by The Associated Press for his work as both a wide receiver and kick returner, and will be counted upon to be a leader as a junior this season.

Lockett is among several veterans back from the Wildcats' Big 12 title team last season.
