Former Cleveland Browns quarterback and Texas A&M star Johnny Manziel is in Cabo San Lucas, where he decided to respond to his father's recent assessment of his son's lifestyle. Manziel's father, Paul, said in an interview last week that his son is a "druggie" who has yet to seek help, and that ending up in jail might be the best thing for Manziel.

"He's a druggie. It's not a secret that he's a druggie. I don't know what to say other than my son is a druggie and he needs help. He just hasn't [sought] it yet. Hopefully he doesn't die before he comes to his senses. That's about all you can say. I don't know what else to say.... I mean, I hate to say it, but I hope he goes to jail. I mean, that would be the best place for him."

In an Instagram photo posted Tuesday, Manziel gave his dad a shoutout in the caption.
