The Winnipeg Jets have come to terms on a new contract with forward Evander Kane.

Terms of the agreement were not disclosed, but it came only a few hours prior to the start of the NHL lockout.

Kane, 20, played in 74 games with the Jets last season when he compiled 30 goals and 27 assists. He ranked ninth in the league with 287 shots.

Over 213 career NHL games between Atlanta and Winnipeg, he has 63 goals and 63 assists.
