Florham Park, NJ (SportsNetwork.com) - The New York Jets re-signed kicker Nick Folk to a multi-year contract on Tuesday.

The team had placed the franchise tag on the 29-year-old kicker at the end of February.

He set a franchise record by converting 23 straight field goal tries to begin a season in 2013 and finished with a career-high 33 in 36 attempts.

Over his four seasons with the Jets, Folk has connected on 103-of-127 field goal tries and all 138 extra-point attempts.

He spent his first three seasons in Dallas, which drafted him in the sixth round of the 2007 draft, before being waived towards the end of the 2009 season.
