In a game of inches, every single pound matters. Especially for a 32-year-old wide receiver competing against defensive backs as many as 10 years younger with fresh legs.

New York Jets veteran wideout Brandon Marshall is coming off one of his best seasons in which he caught 109 passes for 1,502 yards and 14 touchdowns. Jets head coach Todd Bowles would like more of that but a slightly lighter Marshall for the duration of the season. Marshall explains:

The 6-foot-4 Marshall owes his success mostly to his size and strength and less so speed (he ran a 4.56 40 at the NFL Combine in 2006).

We'll see if these helpings of grouper and blueberries can give him an extra step.
