Charles Jenkins scored 21 points and Shemiye McLendon scored the game's final four points on free throws as Hofstra rallied to defeat Northeastern 78-75 on Saturday for its first win in four games.

Two free throws by McLendon gave the Pride (15-9, 9-4 Colonial Athletic Association) their first lead of the second half, 76-75, with 1:56 remaining.

After two scoreless possessions by the Huskies (8-16, 4-9) and one by the Pride, McLendon was fouled with 6 seconds left and sank both.

Jenkins scored nine of his points in a span of 3:19 that cut a 69-63 Northeastern lead to 75-74 at the 2:12 mark.

Mike Moore added 16 points and Brad Kelleher 12 for Hofstra.

Chaisson Allen scored 21 points, including 15 in the first half, to pace Northeastern, which used just seven players and got all but five points from its starters.

Northeastern had won its past four games.
