The Toronto Blue Jays activated outfielder Jose Bautista from the 15-day disabled list on Friday.

Bautista had been sidelined since July 16 due to mild inflammation in his left wrist.

Bautista, the AL's home run leader each of the past two years, was second this year with 27 when he was placed on the DL. He has also driven in 65 runs and is batting .244 in 90 games.

The team optioned pitcher Chad Beck to Triple-A Las Vegas to make room for Bautista.

Beck allowed six runs -- five earned -- in 7 2/3 innings with the Blue Jays this season.
