Second-seeded Jelena Jankovic and third- seeded Roberta Vinci were quarterfinal winners Wednesday at the $220,000 Texas Open, a final U.S. Open tune-up.

Serbia's Jankovic, the former world No. 1, had no problems in a 6-2, 6-1 win over Romania's Sorana Cirstea in a match that took barely over an hour.

Next up for Jankovic is Australian Casey Dellacqua, who took out Canadian Aleksandra Wozniak 6-4, 6-4 on the hardcourts at Hilton Lakes Tennis & Sports Club.

Italy's Vinci moved on with a 7-6 (7-1), 6-2 defeat of South Africa's Chanelle Scheepers and will take on Serbian wild card Serbian Bojana Jovanovski, who advanced when sixth-seeded Peng Shuai of China retired while losing in the second set, 6-4, 1-0, with a right shoulder injury.

The 2012 Texas Open champ will earn $37,000.
