New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - LeBron James and Blake Griffin were named NBA Players of the Month on Wednesday after both averaged at least 30 points a game in February.

James missed one game after breaking his nose but averaged 30.8 points, 8.1 rebounds and 6.7 assists while leading the Miami Heat to an 8-1 record in the nine games he played.

He shot 57.5 percent, becoming the second player after Wilt Chamberlain to average at least 30 points, eight rebounds and six assists while shooting at least 57 percent in a calendar month.

Griffin led the Los Angeles Clippers to a 7-4 record in the month, averaging 30.0 points, 10.7 rebounds and 3.8 assists.
