Jacksonville, AL – Jacksonville State football will play six home games in new coach Bill Clark's first season as part of a 12-game schedule announced on Thursday.
The Gamecocks finalized the schedule by adding an Aug. 31 season opener at Alabama State in Montgomery, just 12 miles away from where Clark coached Prattville High School into one of the top high school teams in the nation.
They will play home games against Jacksonville (Sept. 7), Division II North Alabama (Sept. 14) and Ohio Valley Conference opponents Murray State (Sept. 28), Tennessee State (Oct. 12), Eastern Kentucky (Nov. 9) and Southeast Missouri State (Nov. 23).
Jacksonville State finished last season with a 6-5 record, including 5-3 in the OVC.
