Jack Nicklaus says Rory McIlroy is probably frustrated with his game and getting used to a new set of clubs. But the 18-time major champion says McIlroy will be fine when the Masters rolls around next month.

McIlroy caused a stir this week when he walked off the course after eight holes Friday at the Honda Classic. The world's No. 1 player told reporters he was not in a good place mentally, and then later attributed his withdrawal to a sore wisdom tooth.

Nicklaus says McIlroy is a "good kid" who tries to do the right thing, but pulling out probably wasn't one of them.

He says given McIlroy's talent, it shouldn't matter which clubs he is using.
