Cleveland Indians pitcher Corey Kluber and second baseman Jason Kipnis have been named the AL co-Players of the Week for the period ending June 16.

Kipnis led the majors with a .524 average and tallied two doubles, one home run and four RBI in six games, while Kluber went 2-0 with a minuscule 0.56 earned run average and 11 strikeouts over two starts this week.

Kipnis knocked in the winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning in the Tribe's 2-1 win over the Washington Nationals on Friday.

Kluber opened the week with an eight-inning gem that halted the Indians eight- game losing streak before spinning eight scoreless innings while striking out eight in a 2-0 triumph against the Nationals on Sunday.

Chicago's Adam Dunn, Tampa Bay's Matt Joyce and Aaron Harang of the Seattle Mariners were also under consideration for this week's award.
