Incoming Major League Baseball commissioner Rob Manfred has reorganized several top jobs in the sport.

The seven moves announced Thursday include Bob Bowman becoming MLB's president, business and media. He will continue to oversee the MLB Network.

Hall of Fame manager Joe Torre will become chief baseball officer. An MLB executive since 2011, he'll be the main contact between the office and general managers, managers and umpires for on-field matters.

Other appointments include Dan Halem as chief legal officer, Tony Petitti as chief operating officer, Jonathan Mariner as chief investment officer, Bob Starkey as chief financial officer and senior adviser and Pat Courtney as chief communications officer.

Manfred is set to take over for Bud Selig on Jan. 25.
