Illinois to meet Northwestern at Wrigley

CHICAGO (AP) — Football is coming back to Wrigley Field.

Northwestern and Illinois will play a Big Ten game at the storied baseball park on Nov. 20. The Chicago Cubs and Northwestern have scheduled a news conference for Friday to announce the details.

Wrigley Field, built in 1914 and the second-oldest baseball venue in the major leagues, has hosted plenty of football — just not in a while.

Wrigley was home to the Chicago Bears from 1921-1970. On New Year's Day 2009, it was also the site of the NHL's Winter Classic between the Detroit Red Wings and Chicago Blackhawks.
