Anaheim, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Colorado Rockies manager Walt Weiss was taken to a hospital prior to Wednesday's game against the Los Angeles Angels due to stomach illness and discomfort, the team said.
Bench coach Tom Runnells managed the team in Weiss' absence.
According to the Denver Post, Weiss began experiencing stomach pain Tuesday night during the Rockies' 5-2 loss to the Angels.
