New Orleans Hornets restricted free agent shooting guard Eric Gordon plans to sign a four-year, $58 million offer sheet with the Phoenix Suns, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune.

Gordon can sign the offer on July 11, when the NBA lifts the free agency signing moratorium and the Hornets have three days to match the offer.

The Hornets can offer Gordon a max deal of five years and $79 million.

Gordon played in just nine games this season due to a knee injury in the season-opener and averaged 20.6 points, 3.4 assists and 2.8 rebounds. The 23- year-old was acquired in mid-December as part of the trade that sent Chris Paul to the Clippers.
