The St. Louis Cardinals came up a bit short on Monday, dropping Game 3 of the NLDS to the Chicago Cubs. They're now faced with a must-win situation on Tuesday afternoon behind John Lackey, who will square off against Jason Hammel looking to bring the series back to Busch Stadium for a Game 5.
Right fielder Jason Heyward went 2-4 in Monday's defeat, driving in two runs on the strength of a home run and a double against likely Cy Young winner Jake Arrieta. When asked after the game by FOX Sports Midwest for his thoughts about the club's proverbial backs being against the wall, Heyward sounded as confident as ever in the Cardinals' chances:

He and the team will have the opportunity to go out on the field at a hostile Wrigley Field on Tuesday and force the series back to St. Louis...and it doesn't sound as if Heyward will let them be swayed by Monday's setback.
