College Station, TX – Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel reportedly has pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge stemming from a 2012 arrest.
According to a report in The Bryan College-Station Eagle, the Heisman Trophy- winning quarterback appeared in court Monday and admitted he failed to identify himself to police following an altercation outside a bar near campus in June of 2012.
Other charges were dismissed as part of a plea deal, though Manziel was ordered to pay a $2,000 fine and $232 in court costs and spend two days in jail for pleading guilty to the class B misdemeanor.
Manziel, however, was credited with the overnight jail time he served following his arrest to avoid further time behind bars.
The hearing came one day after reports surfaced that Manziel was sent home from the Manning Passing Academy, where he was serving as a counselor, a day early after missing assigned meetings and practices.
