Heerenveen, Netherlands – Heerenveen signed forward Alfred Finnbogason to a three-year deal with an option for a fourth season Thursday.
Finnbogason, 23, joins Heerenveen from Belgian side Lokeren. He played with Lokeren from 2010-12, but spent time on loan with Helsingborgs last season in Sweden and had 12 goals in 17 matches for the club.
An Icelandic international, Finnbogason has earned seven international caps.
