Hawks sign Daye to multi-year deal

Atlanta, GA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Atlanta Hawks have signed forward Austin Daye to a multi-year contract.

Daye first joined the Hawks with a 10-day deal on March 15 and signed a second 10-day pact on March 25. He has averaged 3.0 points and 1.4 rebounds in five games with the team.

The 26-year-old Gonzaga product appeared in 26 games for San Antonio earlier this season and averaged 4.0 points with 2.3 rebounds. He also averaged 16.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 10 games with Erie of the NBA Developmental League.

Daye was selected by Detroit with the 15th overall pick of the 2009 NBA Draft and has averaged 5.2 points with 2.6 rebounds in 290 NBA games for the Pistons, Memphis, Toronto, San Antonio and Atlanta.
