Travis Hampshire vaulted up the leaderboard under 63 on Saturday, tying Steve Friesen after three rounds of the Price Cutter Charity Championship.

Hampshire, winless on the Nationwide Tour like Friesen, had 10 birdies and a bogey at Highland Springs Country Club to move to 18-under 198. Friesen, meanwhile, had four birdies in a flawless round of 68 to match him.

Hampshire has made his last four cuts on tour, but has largely struggled in 2011 with only one finish in the top five in 16 events. Friesen is looking to make his mark in only his second event since the beginning of 2009.

Josh Broadaway flirted with the lead all day before back-to-back bogeys toward the end of the round contributed to a four-under 68. He is still one shot back heading to Sunday at 17-under 199.

Casey Wittenberg matched Hampshire's 63 for best round of the day to move into fourth at 16-under, while Michael Sims (65), Ted Potter, Jr. (68), Cliff Kresge (69) and Gavin Coles (69) share fifth at minus-15.
