Boston, MA (SportsNetwork.com) - Dougie Hamilton's wrister 3:39 into overtime gave the Boston Bruins a 2-1 win over the Winnipeg Jets.

Tuukka Rask made 35 saves for the Bruins, who snapped a brief two-game losing streak.

Hamilton also assisted on Milan Lucic's fifth goal of the season early in the third period. Carl Soderberg recorded an assist on both markers.

Dustin Byfuglien scored for Winnipeg, which got 36 saves from Michael Hutchinson.

"(Rask) is a goalie that ever since I was drafted I looked up to," Hutchinson said.

Late in OT, the Bruins skated in on a 3-on-2 rush with Soderberg leading the charge. He slid a pass to Hamilton trailing the play, and the former first round pick beat Hutchinson high.

"I don't know if I've ever scored an OT goal before, so a pretty good feeling to get the win after the start that we had," Hamilton said.

Earlier, the Jets took a 1-0 lead with a power-play goal at 16:24 of the first. After Byfuglien's initial shot from the left circle was denied by Rask, Evander Kane came up with the loose puck and fed him near the blue line. Byfuglien benefited from a screen in front and slid a wrister past Rask.

Lucic tied it early in the third when his give-and-go with Soderberg resulted in a tip-in past Hutchinson.
