Memphis, TN – The Memphis Grizzlies signed forward Dante Cunningham to an undisclosed contract Saturday after his previous team, the Charlotte Bobcats, declined to match their offer.
Under the new NBA collective bargaining agreement, the Bobcats had three days to match Memphis' offer, which was tendered on Tuesday.
Cunningham, 24, averaged 6.2 points and 3.6 rebounds in 78 games last season for the Portland Trail Blazers and Bobcats.
