A pair of unbeatens will clash tonight in Kansas City as the California Golden Bears meet the Georgia Bulldogs in the CBE Classic semifinals.

California earned wins over UC Irvine and George Washington to open the season, and stayed undefeated with another CBE Classic win over Austin Peay, 72-55. California shot 52.8 percent from the field, and were led by Jorge Gutierrez's 14 points in the win.

After opening the season with wins over Wofford and South Dakota State, Georgia improved to 3-0 with a 72-61 win over South Dakota State in Athens. Three Georgia players posted in double digits for the Bulldogs, who were led by Donte' Williams 17 points.

The all-time series between California and Georgia is tied, 1-1.

Guiterrez shot 5-of-8 from the field in the win, and alongside his 14 points also chipped in three assists. Harper Kamp hit 5-of-7 from the field for 12 points, which complemented his nine boards. Cal shot 60.7 percent from the field, while holding Austin Peay to 37.1 percent, including 17.2 percent in the first half. Cal is scoring 76.7 ppg, while allowing 55.0 ppg. Gutierrez is averaging 13.3 ppg and 6.3 rpg, while Crabbe averages 16.7 ppg.

Georgia was led by Williams against South Dakota State, as the guard hit 6-of-13 from the floor (5-of-6 from three-point range) and added seven rebounds in the win. Georgia, which shot 40.3 percent from the field, also got 15 points from Gerald Robinson and 14 points from Kentavius Caldwell-Pope, who also added six rebounds and two steals in the win. Robinson is averaging 13.7 ppg on the year, while Caldwell-Pope is posting 13.3 ppg and 5.3 rpg this season.
