Matt Glover scored 16 points, tying his career high, as San Francisco snapped a 17-game losing streak against St. Mary's with a 73-62 win Thursday night.

Mark Tollefson and Kruize Pinkins scored 16 apiece for the Dons, who last beat St. Mary's on Jan. 10, 2006.

USF (17-10, 10-5 West Coast Conference) used an 18-2 run to take a 26-14 lead with about 7 ½ minutes before the break.

The Dons committed just one turnover and assisted on 9 of their 12 field goals in the first half while limiting the Gaels to 9-of-28 shooting (32.1 percent), including 3-of-16 (18.8 percent) from 3-point range.

USF made 6 of 8 field goals to start the second half, opening up a 48-32 lead with 12:54 to play. St. Mary's (19-9, 9-6) trailed by at least eight the rest of the way.

Brad Waldow led the Gaels with 15 points and 13 rebounds.
